Thoery Test
Are you ready for your Theory Test?
The current fee to take the test is £25.00 which covers the cost of the Hazard test.
You are asked 50 multiple choice questions. The pass mark is 43 or more and the time allowed to complete the test is 57 minutes.
The hazard perception test is the second part of the driving theory test and is taken a few minutes after completing the multiple choice questions.
For the hazard perception test the questions are made up of 14 clips, the pass mark is 44 out of a possible 75
When should you take your test?
When learning to drive it is ideal to do your theory test as soon as possible to get it out of the way and focus more on your practical test. This test does require revision to pass it, this is why you should do a mock tests a few times to get used to question structure.
How to book your test
You can not contact Theory Test Centres directly.
All booking should be done via the DSA booking Service.
Unique Driving School and DSA recommends all car test bookings are made via the official Directgov Website.
Don't use third party booking services because you could pay up to twice as much for your test as you would if you book directly with official Directgov.
Do not apply for your theory test until you are sure you are ready.
If you prepare well you have an excellent chance of passing.
